We have tried the Heartland’s Finest bean flour “Cero’s” as well as Perky’s frosted, and Perky’s original PerkyO. I thought both brands were pretty good. However, my husband (who is the one on the gf diet) “didn’t like” the “Cero’s” brand though after a while he said it “grew on him a little”. The original PerkyO isn’t as good as the frosted PerkyO by a good bit. (The original has a very boring taste). If we were to choose one gluten free “cheerio” it would definately be the frosted PerkyO’s. I have heard the apple cinnamon is also very good and better than the original PerkyO as well. The Heartland’s Finest Cero’s have a strange flavor to them. Who ever heard of a “cinnamon” cheerio? It’s just not the same without the apple too. We will get Perky’s frosted or Perky’s apple cinnamon only of the avaliable options. For those young moms looking for a gluten free “O” for small fingers the PerkyO’s is definately the best option no matter what the flavor for size and I can see perhaps a baby wouldn’t mind the bland taste of the original PerkyO. Glutino’s “cheerios” are the largest “O” so I wouldn’t feed those to a baby. The apple cinnamon has an “o.k.” flavor for an older child or an adult and the honey nut flavor is yucky and just plain wierd! The “Cero’s” are the right size for a baby if they can stomach the taste. Hope that helps.
