My family and I really like these Gingerbread Cookies. They are filling enough to eat for breakfast, the flavor is good. Excellent for those mornings when you don’t have time to sit and eat.
I have long enjoyed the Baker’s Breakfast cookies as a good, mostly healthy breakfast or snack. I think the Gingerbread flavor is my favorite of all the many to choose from, and wish that it was available year round instead of just seasonally.
When I saw these cookies (my favorite BB flavor) on sale, I immediately ordered them, despite seeing other reviews mentioning the close if not past expiration date. My order didn’t have that problem, though I’ve stored half in the freezer.
These aren’t cookie-cookies per say – less sweet, softer and definitely heartier, but they’re a great meal-on-the-go for early mornings and road trips. And for someone who runs from an early morning workout to the office, these are easy to eat on the go, and keep me from running out mid-morning for a snack. And it’s got a lovely (not overpowering imho) gingery flavor.
Filling is probably a subjective description for these gingerbread-flavoured breakfast biscuits, but these certainly put some solids in the mouth to prevent that late-morning crash that comes without having eaten something.
The taste is a bit strong with this flavour, so if you don’t like a strong taste that you’re reminded by when you have your morning tea of English tea with your gingernuts biscuits (not to be confused with gingerbread biscuits here, but I’d say they’re probably close, anyway), you may want to pick another flavour from the Erin Baker line.
In summary, it’s a nice product, despite the strong flavour (which is probably an acquired taste). If you like gingernut biscuits or gingerbread biscuits, however, these will do very, very nicely.
