I have this book and it is Awesome. I love the food list. Keith breaks down the information to make easy for you to understand. I am excited to try these recipes. Stay Alkaline!
I am new to Alkaline foods and I needed a cook book to get started. I found the book very helpful and I have used successfully many of the recipes. What I liked most was many of the foods I had already been using and ,now with some adjustments, I have alkaline dish.
This is a good cook book for a person starting an alkaline diet. It is very simple and possibly too simple recipes. If you are looking for gourmet, this is not for you. But this is a good, easy, alkaline cook book for those just learning about the subject or starting a diet on alkaline foods.
I was disappointed with this book. It uses so many ingredients I have never heard of and I think I know more about eating healthy than most. It just not practical for the average person.
I waited with great anticipation for this book and was sorely disappointed with it when it arrived. The alkaline information is not thorough enough, and the recipes are just not practical for the average person. Some of the foods he recommends (or not)are in conflict with other well known alkaline practitioners and charts. (I have about 12 books on the subject) What is really needed out there is a alkaline recipe book that will be user friendly for the average individual who will then feel more comfortable and confident to take on this alkaline lifestyle without ingredient confusion and the constant promotion of the authors supplements. After all, following an alkaline lifestyle is the best for ones health, it just needs to be made practical and simple. So far, “Alkalize or Die” seems to be the easiest to follow, although I do not recommend eating or drinking soy products.
