This book is very good for beginners in that the descriptions are clear and concise and it gives alternatives if someone has difficulty with the poses and/or needs props. I also enjoyed the section in the back where the poses are put together in routines of various lengths and purpose. I seldom use this book in my home practice however as I find the stern and serious expression of the model to be a turnoff. To me yoga should be full of joy and life!
Another outstanding book by Lasater! Tons of helpful advice and shared wisdom for yoga instructors. LOVE IT!
An excellent book. Poses are described in understandable terms. Pitfalls are pointed out. This book has launched me on a regular Yoga practice that I was struggling to establish. Thank you Judith Lasater!
This book was just what I was looking for. Very easy to follow and if I can’t do a pose the props are shown and an easy beginner version is described. The book is in great condition just as described.
This book is a great one to have around if you are new to yoga as I still am for the most part.
The sections are broken down to easily find what you are looking for with both words and photos that really make the poses clear. If you take classes, workout with DVDs or practice on your own, I still highly recommend this book as an excellant addition.
